ISLAMABAD: National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has said the government will not allow anyone to hinder the process of development under China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
Addressing to an inaugural ceremony of a new Academic Block of Queen Mary College in Lahore, NA Speaker said education is the basic right of each and every child and government is doing its best to fulfill its constitutional obligation.
He said various projects are underway regarding educational institutions across the country.
During his media talk, the Speaker said Islamabad will remain open on Oct 30 despite Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s plan to hold a protest sit-in in the federal capital.
PTI Chief Imran Khan has called on his party workers to lay siege to Islamabad on Oct 30 until Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif resigns or presents himself for accountability in the backdrop of the Panama Papers leaks.
“Islamabad will not close, the city as well as all business activities will remain open and conspiracies of those who want to scare away investors from the country will fail,” Ayaz Sadiq said.
