ISLAMABAD: Following the passing of a resolution expressing solidarity with Kashmiris, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) lawmakers expressed their criticism of the government’s foreign policy.
PPP leader Senator Sherry Rehman said the present government should learn a lesson in foreign policy and stop isolating Pakistan. “You should call Zardari sahib, he will teach you how friendly countries help you in troubled times. Mohatarma [Benazari Bhutto] is not alive, otherwise she would have taught you foreign policy.”
Opposition leader in National Assembly Khursheed Shah said it would have been better if Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was also present in the session.
Earlier, a resolution presented by the Advisor to Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz and passed in the session. The resolution condemned the use of force by the Indian Army. The resolution called for the world community to take notice of the plight of innocent Kashmiri.
