SARGODHA: District Sessions Judge Tariq Javed on Thursday awarded death sentence to a man in a murder case, registered by Noushera police station.
According to prosecution, on February 5, 2015, one Muhammad Usman, son of Gul Muhammad of village Jahlar, along with his three accomplices including Gul Muhammad, Khuda Bukhsh and Yar Muhammad, gunned down their opponent Muhammad Iqbal over an old enmity. Police concerned registered a case against and presented challan in the court.
After proceedings, the judge awarded death sentence to the main accused and imposed Rs 500,000 fine, which would be given to the aggreived part as compensation.
However, the court acquitted the three co-accused for lack of evidence against them.
The convict were sent to district jail.
