‘Problems prevail despite restoration of LG system’

KARACHI: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi’s central Public Aid committee has demanded of the concerned authorities to take solid steps, instead of lip service, to resolve the problems of the city.

In its meeting, held at the JI Karachi headquarters under chair of its chief Saifuddin Advocate, the committee pointed out that the major problem of the city is that none is ready to take the responsibility of the city.

Speaking on the occasion, Saifuddin Advocate said that unfortunately no serious effort was seen to resolve the issues of the city.

He vowed that the committee will restore the lights of Karachi. He added that the roads to and from Golimar has been affected since long as the development work on Green Buss Project is running with a super-slow place.

He added that the situation has been irking commuters since long while the inadequacy of traffic police personnel made the situation bad from worst. He demanded of the traffic police chief to look into the matter so as tens of thousands of people could take a sigh of relief.

The committee chief also shed light in detail on the deteriorating condition of roads in the city.

It was also decided in the meeting to take heads of district institutions for reconstruction of roads, He vowed that all possible measures would be taken to restore the civic facilities in the Karachi.

On the occasion, Saiduddin Advocate appointed Tariq Jamil Bholaywala as deputy president of the committee.
