KARACHI: Police Monday gunned down an accused Abdul Maalik Bangali who was involved in the targeted killing of two police personnel while his accomplices managed to flee during an encounter in Malir area.
Senior Superintendent of Police Korangi claimed that Abdul Malik Banglai, the accused who was involved in the targeted killing of two police personnel was killed in a shootout with the police near Malir, while his accomplices Imtiaz and Faisal Bangali managed to escape the scene.
Sources said that the body of the killed accused was shifted to Jinnah Hospital.
Meanwhile, two extortionists were apprehended during a raid in Gulshan-e-Iqbal area.
On a tip off the presence of criminals in the area, police carried out a raid in Gulshan-e-Iqbal area of Karachi and detained two extortionists.
The law enforcers have also recovered weapons from the possession of the accused.
The arrested were shifted to unknown place for further interrogation.
