First ODI: Pak set 287 runs target for WIndies

SHARJAH, United Arab Emirates: West Indies were set a target of 287 to win the first one-day international after Pakistan scored 284-9 in a match reduced to 49 overs due to a floodlight failure at Sharjah stadium on Friday.

The match was halted for nearly 70 minutes with Pakistan’s total on 260-6 after 44.3 overs. Under the Duckworth-Lewis method the West Indies were set 287 to win.

Babar Azam scored a 131-ball 120 and added 82 for the second wicket with Sharjeel Khan (54) and 99 with Sarfraz Ahmed (35) for the fourth wicket after Pakistan were sent into bat by the West Indies.

Paceman Carlos Brathwaite finished with 3-54.
