KARACHI: Unknown assailants on Friday shot dead two policemen in Karachi.
Unknown assailants targeted a police vehicle near Korangi Causeway to free one accomplice, severely injuring the Imtiaz and Kazim, who were posted in district Korangi investigation unit.
Police sources said the police vehicle was returning from a court after acquiring remand of the two suspects. Imtiaz succumbed to the injury on arrival at a local hospital, said a rescue source.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif condemned and took notice of the Korangi incident.
