ISLAMABAD: Minister for Interior and Narcotics Control, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Tuesday said response of British government on matter of Altaf Hussain was supportive, hoping further development in days to come in this direction.
He was talking to Lord Nazir Ahmad, a Member of British House of Lords, who called on the minister here and discussed bilateral relations between Pakistan and United Kingdom, role of Pakistani community there and their problems. The minister said basic reason of tension between Pakistan and India is issue of Kashmir and India has been trying to divert global attention from brutalities being perpetrated by its forces upon innocent people of held Kashmir. He said struggle of Kashmiris for right to self-determination cannot be suppressed through state level brutalities. Pakistan would continue providing political, diplomatic and moral support to its Kashmiri brethren. Lord Nazir lauded role and personal efforts of minister for interior for addressing problems of Pakistani expatriates. —APP
