LAHORE: The central Shoora of the Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), Pakistan has said that the attitude of the sitting rulers on the Panama Leaks has proved that they are not prepared to even pay back a single penny of the billions they had plundered from the public money and were also the main hurdle in the recovery of the billions of dollars of the Pakistanis lying in foreign banks abroad.
The resolution adopted by the JI Shoora at its three-day session chaired by its Ameer Senator Sirajul Haq said that the Prime Minister had delivered three speeches on the Panama leaks and had readiness for accountability.
But the dead lock between the government and the opposition on the formation of the Judicial Commission and the Term of References (ToRs) was still continuing mainly because the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was trying to save himself from Ehtisab at every cost, it added.
The Shoora which deliberated at length on India’s threats however declared that in case of enemy attack, the entire nation would sink its internal differences and stand shoulder to shoulder with its brave armed forces for the defense of the motherland.
It also demanded of New Delhi to stop its terrorist and subversive activities in this country.
The resolution said that the rulers’ attitude on the Panama leaks so far was a message to the nation burdened under the foreign debt running into 70 billion dollars besides massive internal domestic loans, that they were not return a penny of their ill gotten wealth.
The Shoora however resolved to continue its Corruption Free Pakistan drive till the recovery of every penny of the plundered wealth from the corrupt elements.
The JI Shooora said that the terrorist activities including the Gulshan-e-Iqbal Lahore tragedy, the Quetta Bar tragedy besides the suicide bombings at Charsadda, Mardan and Mohmand Agency indicated that the rulers were criminally neglecting their duty to protect the lives and properties of the citizens.
It said that although Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had ably represented the nation’s sentiments on the Kashmir in the UN General Assembly, yet he had missed the opportunity to draw the world attention towards RAW’s network in the country as proved by the arrest of Kal Boshan and many others, besides Indian Premier Modi’s acceptance of his role in the creation of Bangladesh, and his address at the Red Fort, New Delhi, interfering in the affairs of Balochsitan, Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) and the role of a serving Indian agency officer in the Samjotha Express tragedy and said this had caused a great harm to the country and the nation.
The Shoora also expressed deep concern over the blockade of the computerized national identity cards of around 38 per cent of the people in Khyber P by NADRA which was causing great unrest among the people there.
It also exhorted the government to pressurize Bangladesh government to stop the executions of the JI leaders for supporting the Pak army in the 1971 in the light of the 1974 agreement between the three countries. —INP
