PESHAWAR: A youngster died in the blast caused by the explosives material found by him while playing here on Monday.

Police said that a child while playing near his residence in Pishtakhara area of the provincial capital Peshawar found a toy bomb which he took to home.

While playing with it, the toy bomb exploded with big bang resulting in death of the child on the spot.

Bomb disposal squad (BDS) reached the scene after the incident and collected the evidences. The body was shifted to hospital for postmortem.

An environment of fright gripped the area after the incident and the police urged the dwellers of the area to keep a watch on their surroundings and inform the nearby police station to avert any such terror activity.
