Khursheed Shah opposes to give extension to Army Chief

SUKKUR: Leader of the opposition Khursheed Shah has opposed to grant Raheel Sharif extension and said there is no need to give extension to Army Chief.

Talking to media persons here on Friday, the opposition leader said the situation is critical and no political party of Pakistan would compromise on the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country.

He said the Indian sabre rattling would not only be dangerous for the region but also the world at large. He reminded the Indian leadership that Pakistani nation and the armed forces have the capacity to confront Indian aggression.

Khursheed Shah said that Pakistan is capable to deter aggression from even ten powers like Modi government. However he said the world power must stop India from its aggressive designs and levelling of baseless allegations against Pakistan.

He said the COAS General Raheel Sharif has made tremendous contributions in the country including defeating terrorists in FATA and there was need that his actions and achievements must be secured.

In reply to a question, the opposition leader said there was need that the Prime Minister during his meetings with world leaders and UN Secretary General should have built pressure on India for its interference in internal affairs of Pakistan. In this connection, he said Mr Nawaz Sharif should have specifically raised the issue of Brahamdagh Bugti who is keen to seek Indian nationality, which speaks volume of Indian interference in Pakistan’s internal affairs.

To another question, Khursheed Shah said Panamaleaks is a reality which cannot be hidden.
