A contingent of Russian ground forces have arrived to Pakistan for 1st ever Pakistan-Russian joint exercise.
According to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), the contingent of Russian forces arrived in Pakistan for two weeks military drills starting from 24 September to 10 October in Rattu and Cherat.
It is pertinent to mention here that, the Russia has called off its joint military exercise with Pakistan after the Uri terror attack in occupied Kashmir.
Islamabad had confirmed about exercise, the Indian External Affairs Ministry (EAM) had sent a letter to Russia in which India said that Moscow should keep New Delhi’s sensitivity in mind while conducting joint military drills with neighbouring Pakistan.
