Petitions against PTI’s march to Raiwind: CJ LHC forms full bench

LAHORE: Chief Justice Lahore High Court Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah on Thursday formed Full Bench to hear the petitions seeking to  stop the march toward Raiwind announced by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan.

The full bench comprising Justice Anwarul Haq, Justice Qasim Khan, and Justice Shahid Kareem will begin hearing the petitions next week.

The petitions were filed by a number of people including A. K. Dogar advocate and they argue that Imran Khan is making inflammatory speeches due to which there is a fear of riots during the march. The petitions pleaded the court to stop Imran Khan from marching on Raiwind.

Justice Shahid Waheed had recommended to the Chief Justice Lahore High Court Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah to form the full bench to hear the petitions. —INP
