LAHORE: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), Secretary General Liaqat Baloch praised the address of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif comprising right demands in the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). He said PM had presented Kashmir dispute in ‘rightful and balanced way’ besides exposing true picture of Indian atrocities in occupied Kashmir.

Baloch said the address forwarded positive message to Kashmiris’ struggle for freedom and right of self-determination. He added Kashmiris were giving significant sacrifices in their struggle while the movement was reached at a sensitive point.

He reiterated Pm Nawaz should bring political, democratic and civil society sections on same page besides envisaging of Kashmir policy after his ‘right and balanced’ address delivered in the UNGA session. The JI SG clarified that India will not change its brutal policies following just one address.

Liaqat Baloch was talking to delegation comprising leaders of Islamic Human Rights (IHR) and Universal Justice Network. He said Pakistan has always raised voice against humanitarian crisis in Palestine, Iraq, Syria, Yemen but the move always resulted in surprisingly silence of international community and human rights’ organisations. The international powers kept criminal silence over ongoing humanitarian crisis in Indian-occupied Kashmir, Afghanistan and Bangladesh.

During the meeting, members of the delegation ensured to raise strong voice internationally against anti-humanitarian moves in Indian-held Kashmir, Afghanistan and Bangladesh. The delegation also expressed deep sorrow over Indian atrocities in occupied Kashmir.
