KARACHI: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi chief Engr. Hafiz Naeem has said that the JI witnessed more than 70 percent raise in collection of hides of sacrificial animals during last three years.
He expressed these views on Monday while addressing a meeting of the party unit in-charges, held in connection with reviewing the sacrificial hides collection drive. On the occasion, shields were presented to several office bearers for their splendid efforts in regard with hides collection. Some units of JI witnessed upto 100 percent rise in hides collection.
It was revealed on the occasion that the total rise in the collection of hides in Karachi remained 25 percent with 37 percent in district West, 32 percent in district Central, 23 percent in Bin Qasim town, 19 percent in East and 10 percent in South.
He said that with the grace of Allah Almighty the party has witnessed upto 70 percent increase in collection of hides of sacrificial animals. He said that the party has been observing a rise for past three years.
The JI leader dedicated this success to the martyrs of the movement and their said that the JI has been managing to ensure its presence in the field due to the services of party workers.
Engr. Naeem said that JI workers remained steadfast against the brutal atrocities of their opponents and particularly the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM). He said that the time has once again proven that truth always prevails. He further said that the politics of hatred has failed in Karachi. Our doors are always open for those who intend to pursue the politics of truth and righteousness, however there is zero tolerance for criminal elements in JI.
He strongly criticized the MQM’s leadership in Pakistan and asked those in the corridors of power to let the law take its course without any discrimination of good and bad terrorists. He was of the view that the recent episode proved that the apparently disassociation from London offices was nothing but a drama to disguise masses. He said that chanting anti-Pakistan slogans again has revealed the reality of MQM both in Pakistan and abroad.
The JI leader said that the people of Karachi have donated the hides of sacrificial animals in accordance with their own will, for the first time in last thirty years. He further said that the record rise in the hides collection by JI was witnessed over the change in the city in the changed scenario.
He further said that collectively the JI team needs to introspect and pace-up their efforts if there was a room for betterment. He said that the party need to further its efforts to reach maximum people.
On the occasion, he talked about the situation in Bangladesh, where tens of thousands of JI workers, including women and old people, were jailed. He added that top leadership of JI in Bangladesh has been executed. The JI leader was of the view that history has proven several times that atrocities always remained fail to suppress Islamic movements across the globe.
