GUJRANWALA/MULTAN: Armed with eggs and tomatoes workers of the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz took out a rally against rival Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s Raiwand March.
Speaking at the rally president of the PML-N Hamza youth wing said, “We will welcome PTI workers with eggs and tomatoes when they march to Raiwand.”
Earlier, PML-N workers had established a force armed with sticks to welcome PTI workers at Raiwand.
To counter the threats of PML-N, PTI organized a similar show in Multan which was also attended by large number of female workers. They warned that the PTI would respond equally to the acts of PML-N workers in Raiwind.
Tensions between the two parties have mounted in recent days as the PTI announced it will march to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s residence to protest his alleged offshore accounts named in the Panama Papers. —INP
