Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Ameer Senator Sirajul Haq on Sunday urged the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to resolve complaints at earliest regarding vote rigging in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Local Bodies’ election.
Sirajul Haq in his recent statement in Peshawar said that whole LB election cannot be invalidated over few complaints of vote rigging while ECP should envisage mechanism to ensure free and transparent election across the country.
JI Ameer complained that nobody earned lessons from the mistake made in past and democracy cannot be firmed without gaining full confidence of masses on electoral process.
