KARACHI: Passengers of the Awam Express which met an accident on Thursday morning, claiming six lives and injuring over 92, reached Karachi’s cantonment station through an alternate train on Friday.
They reached Karachi after over 24 hours of accident through an alternate train which was made available to them by the railways authorities, sources said.
Awam Express reached the Cantonment Station of Karachi at around 05:00 in the morning where a huge number of locals had gathered to greet their relatives.
On Thursday, Awam Express collided with a freight train in Multan after which investigations in the matter were launched. Meanwhile a case has been registered against Driver and Assistant driver for the accident. —INP
