KARACHI: State Bank has issued Rs 161 billion worth of new currency bills this Eid-ul-Azha to meet the increasing demand. All the stakeholders including the public were included in the detailed arrangements for the same, the central bank said.
Last Eid-ul-Azha the Bank had issued Rs 116 billion of new currency bills.
The total value of new Rs 100 notes is around Rs 20 billion while the value of all other denominations is Rs 141 billion. —INP
