LAHORE, Sept 09 (INP): Deputy Chief of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), Hafiz Muhammad Idrees has said that our Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (P.B.U.H) preached the equality of mankind and freed the humanity of divisions based on nationality, caste, colour and ethnicity and his address on the occasion of the last Hajj was a clear proof of it.
Addressing the Friday sermon at the Mansoora Mosque here Hafiz Muhammad Idrees said that Islam enjoined the grant of equal rights to the common man by setting aside the differences of caste and colour.
He said it was unfortunate that the Muslim countries were being ruled by the agents of the non-believers who were pushing their states towards liberalism and secularism by ignoring the injunctions of Allah and His beloved Prophet.
The JI Deputy Chief said the Noble Prophet had ordered the solution of the social problems on collective basis in order to promote love and brotherhood in the society. However, he said, that the rulers had complicated the problems to an extent that the masses stood disappointed.
Hafiz Muhammad Idrees said the abolition of the interest system was essential for progress and prosperity and the rulers who thought otherwise required treatment by a psychiatrist.
Islam, he said, secured the rights of the oppressed, the widows and orphans but these sections were being maltreated in our society.
He said it was the responsibility of the rulers to mould the society in accordance with the Holy Quran and the Sunnah but the conduct and the policies of the rulers were aimed at in the opposite direction.
