Blast hits railway track in Jacoabad; six injured

JACOBABAD: A blast on railway track in Jacobabad city of Sindh province derailed three bogies of Jaffar Express injuring at least six people early Saturday morning.

The blast which occurred on a railway track near District Jail derailed three bogies of Punjab bound Jaffar Express leaving six injured and other passengers stranded.

The explosion created 10 to 12 feet deep crater at the site of the blast.

Latest reports suggest that police found another bomb from a nearby location.

Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah has taken notice of the incident and has directed Inspector General Police (IGP) Sindh to present a detailed report of the incident.

The Spokesperson of the CM Sindh maintained that Shah has directed Commissioner, DIG Larkana, SSP and District Administration to initiate the rescue work ast once, treat the injured and take all possible measures to let the passengers reach their destination at earliest.
