Anti-Pakistan slogans: Irum Azeem Farooque resigns from MQM

KARACHI: A Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA) affiliated with Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Irum Azeem Farooque, resigned from her position over being forced to raise slogans against Pakistan.

A female member of Sindh Assembly, Irum Azeem Farooque, resigned from her posts over allegedly being forced to raise anti-Pakistan slogans.

According to reports, Farooque said that she is a Pakistan and cannot be forced to make remarks or slogans against Pakistan.

In her Twitter message, Irum Azeem Farooque claimed that she revealed resignation report today but she did it two days ago because of MQM’s Hunger Strike. Farooque added that she felt embarrassed after watching the videos. She also posted “Pakistan Zindabad” on her Twitter account.

Irum Azeem Farooque was elected as member of provincial assembly on women reserved seats on RSW-154 in the Sindh Assembly. She was working as member of Standing Committee on Cooperatives, Standing Committee on Labour and Human Resources, Committee on Rules of Procedure and Privileges.
