KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) central leaders, Farooq Sattar and Khawaja Izharul Hassan on Monday arrested by Rangers’ officials in Karachi.
Rangers’ officials arrested MQM’s Farooq Sattar and opposition leader in the Sindh Assembly Khawaja Izharul Hassan before Karachi Press Club (KPC) here today.
In the footage released by local news channel, Farooq Sattar was seen arguing with Rangers’ official and insisting to hold press conference before being arrested. He asked security official to allow him conducting press conference. He also offered to give his custody to Rangers by arriving in his own car.
However, the security official arrested the leader and transferred him to Rangers’ Headquarters.
Earlier, outrageous Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) had attacked Ary News and Neo TV offices in Madina Mall of Karachi on Monday.
MQM workers once again attacked media houses in the metropolis after concluding Hunger Strike organised before Karachi Press Club (KPC).
At least six persons were reportedly wounded by firing and stoning by the MQM protestors while two motorcycles and a police van were torched at the spot. A large numbers of locals were still stranded in the nearby shopping plazas due to the deteriorated situation.
