Rawalpindi region asked to collect taxes amounting to Rs 4.64 billion

RAWALPINDI: Tax officials in Rawalpindi Region have been given a target of Rs 4.64 billion collection during the financial year 2016-17 and for this purpose special teams have been formed.

According to reports, the department of excise taxation and narcotics control has been directed to achieve the target of tax collection at any cost. The tax collection target is for the four districts of Rawalpindi namely, Rawalpindi, Jhelum, Chakwal and Attock.

The sources said that property tax from two zones of Rawalpindi district has been estimated at over Rs1.25 billion. Motor branch of Rawalpindi district has been given the tax collection target of Rs 81 crore as against target of Rs71 crore in the last financial year.
