LAHORE: Armed men gunned down a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) candidate for the post of chairmanship of union council here on Saturday.
Police said that armed men opened fire at PTI candidate for chairman from UC-33 Lahore, Tanveer Ahmed leaving him critically injured and fled from the scene.
The injured succumbed to his wounds while shifting to hospital. The body was handed over to heirs after postmortem.
