A Saudi-Palestinian firm has invented a solar-powered umbrella having a small fan, flashlight, and Global Positioning System (GPS) to assist Hajj pilgrims during the days of religious activity in Saudi Arabia.

Co-founder of smart umbrella, Manal Dandis said this solar umbrella is specially designed for the pilgrims.

The built-in navigation system in this device quickly shows the location of the user, reported Saudi media.

The umbrella’s solar panels absorb solar energy and transform it into electrical energy, which is stored in the handle to generate power to explore the other umbrella’s distinguish features.
