JI to transform AJK, GB into basecamp for Kashmir’s independence movement: Sirajul Haq

GILGIT: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Ameer, Senator Sirajul Haq announced to transform Azad Jammu Kashmir (AJK) and Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) into basecamp to support independence movement in Indian-held Kashmir.

Sirajul Haq made the announcement while addressing Kashmir Independence Conference organised in Gilgit on Tuesday. JI AJK chief Abdul Rasheed Turrabi also addressed the public event attended by a large number of nationals.

While commenting over resources of Gilgit-Baltistan region, Senator Sirajul Haq said GB natives have right over the resources on their land and they will not tolerate anyone to violate their rights. He demanded to earliest construction of Diamer and Bunji dams. He also demanded to include the area into mega development project, China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

Siraj said GB citizens were standing along with Kashmiris struggling for their self-determination right. He said Pakistanis messaged All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) chief Syed Ali Gilani to stand beside him for movement of independence of Kashmir.

Commenting over bloodshed in Quetta’s Civil Hospital, Senator Sirajul Haq urged civil and military authorities to seize the culprits behind the horrific terror incident. He reiterated that involvement of neighbouring country India cannot be rejected in the terror incident. Network of Indian saboteurs were already present in Karachi and Balochistan province and spotted by security agencies many times, however, Pakistani government failed to raise strong voice against Indian terrorism over pressure of the United States (U.S)

Addressing the Kashmir Conference, JI AJK Ameer Abdul Rasheed Turrabi said JI has always supported for independence movement of Kashmir. He vowed to fight for rights of Gilgit-Baltistan citizens and restoration of rights for the locals.
