Rangers arrested eight alleged criminals during raids in different areas of metropolis Karachi and recovered ammunition from their possession.
Rangers’ spokesperson in latest statement said the raids were conducted in Landhi, Shah Faisal Colony, Baldia and Liaqatabad. Three amongst the arrested persons include members of armed wing of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) while others were affiliated with banned outfit.
The arrested persons were involved in extortion bids in dual cities while MQM workers were wanted in different cases of target killing and possession of illegal weapons, spokesperson said.
Sources said the security officials also recovered huge cache of weapons and shifted the detainees to undisclosed location for further investigation.
