KARACHI: Al Khidmat Karachi has launched free buss service on Saturday to facilitate Karachiites who were facing acute hardships, following the heavy rain-pour in the metropolis.
In this regard buses were run on five routes from Mausoleum of Quaid e Azam to various areas. Thousands of commuters have been facilitated by the free service.
It is pertinent to mention here that after the heavy raining, public transport was very thin in some areas while it remained vanished from a lot of areas.
Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi chief Engr. Hafiz Naeem-ur- Rehman said while talking to the media that the provincial government remained badly fail to provide any relief to the citizens despite all its tall claims.
He said that the newly appointed chief minister seemed busy but masses did not get any benefit of it.
The JI leader on the occasion, informed the media personnel that the party has converted all its offices as well as the offices of Al Khidmat into rain emergency centers. He said that the free bus services would be continued on Sunday, if needed.
He said that volunteers remained on road throughout the day to provide assistance to people, affected by the rain.
Engr. Naeem also criticized the K Electric for its failure in provision of electricity to masses in Karachi. He also charged the provincial government for its negligence.
