ISLAMABAD: Spokesperson Punjab Government Zaeem Qadri Monday said Monday that Karachi operation’s success spoke volumes of the government’s policy of consensus between the federal and provincial governments.
Talking to private news channel, Zaeem said Karachi operation was started in agreement with all the political parties including the ruling party and its success was visible in wake of improving situation in Karachi.
Rejecting the idea of government’s reluctance to carry out operation in Punjab, he said several operations had also been carried out in Punjab and, “DG ISPR’s statement is on record regarding this issue”.
He said Prime Minister Muhammed Nawaz Sharif had taken Karachi issue very seriously and himself went there to supervise the law and order situation even before Zarb e Azab was launched.
