Qaim gives resignation to Sindh Governor

KARACHI: Qaim Ali Shah handed over his resignation to Governor Sindh Dr Ishratul Ibad today.

Pakistan People’s Party has nominated Murad Ali Shah as the new Sindh chief minister. Opposition party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has nominated Khurram Sher Zaman for the slot, while Muttahida Qaumi Movement bring in its own nominee.

The PPP will try to win support of all parties. “We will listen to all stakeholders,” Murad Ali Shah siad.

Qaim Ali Shah will move to the Jilani house today, sources added. PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Tuesday paid respect to Shah who has stood with the party through thick and thin for 50 years.

Calling Shah’s tenure in Sindh successful he said, “Compared to all other provinces most development took place in Sindh.”

Maula Bux Chandio, advisor to Sindh chief minister said, “When faces are changed policies change. For the upcoming elections PPP needed an enthusiastic prime minister.”

The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has named Murad Ali Shah as the new chief minister of Sindh following the party’s decision at a top-level meeting in Dubai on Sunday to replace Qaim Ali Shah. The decision was announced at a meeting presided by Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Tuesday.
