Chief of Army Staffs General Raheel Sharif has met Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi and discussed regional security situation and prevalent/emerging security challenges.
AS per details, the president acknowledged Pakistan Army’s successes in fighting terrorism and Pakistan’s efforts for regional stability.
The Military chief emphasised need for the world and urged Muslim Ummah to unite in fighting the menace of terrorism.
Later COAS met Sheikh-ul-Azhar in Al-Azhar University, who also appreciated Pakistan efforts for eliminating terrorism.
COAS emphasised the need to harness Muslim youth towards enlightenment, technological advancement, moderation and harmony.

The Army Chief also visited Egyptian Special Forces in training centre and witnessed activities and exercise. He appreciated their skills and capabilities.
