Tribesmen will be included in reforms, uplift process: KP Governor

PESHAWAR: Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Engr.  Iqbal Zafar Jhagra has said that as per the directives of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, no decision will be imposed on tribesmen and they would be included in the reforms and development process at every level.

He was talking to a representative delegation of Koki Khel tribe from Tehsil Jamrud of Khyber Agency led by MNA Haji Shahji Gul Afridi who called on him here at Governor’s House, Peshawar on Friday.

The delegation was also comprised of Malik Nasir Ahmed, Haji Shah Zar Khan, Haji Shahzada and others. Additional Secretary to Governor, Attaullah Shah was also present on this occasion.

The members of the delegation apprised the Governor about the problems and difficulties, which the people of the area have been facing and put forward their suggestions.

Talking to the delegation, the Governor said that incumbent Government was well aware of the difficulties and issues which the tribal people are faced with adding that steps been taken to resolve their problems and to bring them into the mainstream, saying immediate steps would be taken for the development and progress in tribal belt.

The governor assured the delegation of taking necessary action to address their grievances on priority.
