QUETTA: An accountability court in Quetta on Monday extended remand of former finance secretary Mushtaq Raisani and former accountant of Khaliqabad Nadeem Iqbal for five days in accusation of mega corruption case.
Both accused were presented before the accountability court where lawyer Kamran Murtaza told court that Mushtaq Raisani faced extension in remand without any development in the case. He said Raisani was being threatened despite availability of legal procedures to interrogate him.
On the other hand, lawyer of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Rashid Zaib pleaded the court to make extension in remand as Raisani has revealed more name involved in the corruption.
Following the plea, the court extended remand up to fifteen days to both accused and adjourned the hearing till July 25.
