Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Monday chaired a high-level meeting of the National Economic Council (NEC) in Islamabad that approved development outlay of Rs1514 billion for the next fiscal year while the council fixed a GDP growth rate up to 5.5 per cent.
The development outlay decided up to Rs700 bn as federal PSDP and Rs814 bn as provincial Annual Development Program (ADP). Growth target for agriculture sector was set up to 3.9 pc and 6.1 pc for manufacturing sector.
Moreover, $25.5 billion would be the export target for the next fiscal year.
