LAHORE: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif landed in Pakistan on Saturday (today) through a special plane from London where he underwent a successful open heart surgery.
PM Nawaz Sharif was warmly welcomed by Punjab Governor, Punjab Chief Minister and federal ministers on Lahore airport.
Tight security arrangements were made around the Lahore airport as 1800 security personnel were deployed in and around the airport.
He would be taken to his residence Jati Umra after his arrival where he is scheduled to hold parliamentary session of his political party Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N).
Earlier, the premier while talking to the media persons in London before departure thanked the entire nation for praying for his good health.
He also prayed to God Almighty for the security of the country and well-being of the nation.
