TOKYO: Tokyo shares slipped Tuesday morning as a stronger yen hit sentiment, putting the benchmark index on course to snap six straight sessions of gains.
The Nikkei 225 at the Tokyo Stock Exchange fell 0.87 percent, or 137.28 points, to 15,638.52 by the break, while the broader Topix index of all first-section shares dropped 0.69 percent, or 8.73 points, to 1,253.24.
