LAHORE: Five law enforcers including three lady constables were wounded when a police bus overturned here on Saturday.
The speeding bus was heading towards Kot Lakhpat Jail for carrying prisoners to court when it went out of control of the driver, broke the divider of the double track road and crashed into the foot path on the other side of the road.
The bus luckily did not plunge into an adjacent ravine.
Police stated that the incident took place when the tyre-rod of the bus broke whereas eye-witnesses claimed that the accident occurred due to driver’s negligence.
