MUZAFFFARABAD: A tunnel blast killed four labourers and injured 10 people imcluding working upon the Neelum Jhelum hydro project in Muzaffarabad city of Azad Kashmir.
According to initial details, the low intensity blast which occured in the Mujohi area of the hydropower project killed four workmen while injuring at least 10 including Chinese engineers working on th e project.
The injured and dead victims of the blast weree soon moved to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Muzzaffarabad as rescue operation started soon after the incident.
It must be remembered that the experts related to the authorities working on the project predicted that the project will be completed in 2016 but Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif ordered the power project’s completion in 2014-15.
As the the project was delayed and no work was being carried out over it, the overall cost increased to about 275 million.
