ISLAMABAD: A solar powered tube-well was inaugurated at Nawagai College for Boys in Bajaur Agency, FATA on Friday.
Najeebullah Khan, son of former Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Shaukatullah Khan, inaugurated the tube-well which has been constructed with the assistance of Member National Assembly Haji Bismillah Khan, a private news channel.
The tube-well has been constructed with the cost of Rs 1.1 million in two months. He said 130 tube-wells have been constructed in Bajaur Agency so far and work on 20 more tube-wells is underway.
The local people have expressed happiness over construction of the tube-well which will ensure adequate water supply.
“We are very happy that solar-powered tube-well has been installed in our area. It will ensure adequate water supply in the area,” a local resident said.
