Federal Defence Minister Khawaja Asif said Pakistan can’t not afford to lift Afghan refugees on its shoulder as now they have to leave the country.

Given his view on Afghan firing at Torkham border, Asif said about 3 million Afghan refugees live in Pakistan and now they have to leave the country.

There is not room for dialogue with Afghanistan until firm border management, the minister said. We are ready for exchange in border management, he added.

Talking about Angoor Adda check post, Asif said, “We have our gates at Zero Line on Indian borders.”

On the other hand Afghan forces raise objections that gates can’t be built at Zero Line, he said.

“We have 78 crossings at Afghan borders and only 16 are notified, Asif said and added that Afghan refugees are making negative impact on our culture and economy.
