Medical experts have advised the people against consumption of soft drinks during Iftar and Sehr as they are harmful for health.
Talking to APP, Dr Arif Majeed advised people should use homemade juices instead of soft drinks in Iftar as it is easily absorbed during digestion process.
He said, “Home made drinks like lemonade, milk soda and others are more efficient in combating thirst as compared to soft drinks.”
He said that the consumption of fizzy drinks lead to several diseases including, diarrhoea, gastroenteritis, dehydration, renal problems and even cancer.
Soft drinks should be avoided at Iftar as it is causes kidney problems. “I suggest the people to use fresh juices instead of soft drinks,” he added.
