KARACHI: The minimum amount of Sadqa-e-Fitr has been announced as Rs. 100 per head.
This was announced by the chairman of the Central Ruet-i-Hilal Committee, Mufti Munib ur Rehman here on Wednesday.
He said that those who are well off may pay Fitra, Fidya Soam, Kufara Soam according to their financial position.
However, the minimum amount of Sadqa Fitr and Fidya as per price of wheat has been set as Rs. 100 per head.
As per price of barleys this amount would Rs. 320 per head whereas according to price of dates and `Kishmash’ this amount would be Rs. 1,600 each respectively.
The 30 days’ Fidya Soam according to wheat would be Rs. 3,000, for barleys Rs. 9,600 and for `Kishmash’ Rs. 4,800. For Kufara Soam, food should be arranged for 60 `Masatahqeen’, it was further stated.
