ISLAMABAD: Afghan ambassador to Pakistan Hazrat Omar Zakhilwal on Monday called on Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer, Senator Sirajul Haq in the federal capital.
Afghan peace process and other matters of mutual interest came under discussion in the meeting. Zakhilwal on the behalf of President Ashraf Ghani invited the JI leader for Afghanistan visit.
Sirajul Haq stressed upon reconciliation and negotiation among different fractions of Afghanistan so as to restore peace in the country. He said Pakistan and Afghanistan are two brother Islamic countries and no power could break the everlasting relation of Muslim brotherhood.
Haq said that a peaceful Afghanistan was beneficial for Pakistan. Pakistan and Afghanistan let not use their territories against each other, both dignitaries vowed.
Afghan ambassador thanked Pakistan for its hospitality for refugees.
