MURREE: A teenage teacher, who was burned alive by a mob in Murree, succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment on Wednesday.
The victim’s father earlier claimed that a mob entered their house late Tuesday night and started beating his daughter named Maria.
He added that she was set alight after being doused with petrol and then thrown in the trench.
She was burnt alive over rejecting a matrimonial proposal of the school-owner named Master Shaukat. The victim’s father stated that Shaukat was also a part of the mob which ransacked his house and burnt his daughter alive.
The victim was rushed to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) for treatment. Nearly entire body of the girl suffered high-intensity burns.
A First Information Report (FIR) of the incident has been filed at Murree Police station.
