CTD registers FIR against unknown outlaws of Mardan failed suicide attack

PESHAWAR: The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Mardan have registered First Information Report (FIR) against unknown outlaws of a failed suicide attack in Mardan district on Monday night.

According to Police, the FIR was registered on the complaint of Station House Officer (SHO) City Police station.

At least 11 people including two constables were injured when police foiled a suicide attack near city police station on Monday night.

According to police, a man riding a bicycle near City Police Station came very close to the SHO’s car. Police after seeing a grenade in the hand of alleged bomber, opened fire at him and resultantly the suicide jacket exploded.

As a result, two gunmen of the SHO constables Zahir Shah and Asif Khan and nine others bystanders were injured. The wounded were shifted to the DHQ Hospital and Mardan Medical College hospital for treatment.

Police said the bicycle of the bomber was laden with explosives was later diffused by a bomb disposal squad.
