CHITRAL: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Ameer, Senator Sirajul Haq said former president Asif Ali Zardari continued policies of military dictator Pervez Musharraf while current Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was also continuing the Zardari’s policies.

Sirajul Haq while addressing a crowded public gathering organised in Polo Ground of Chitral said Jamaat-e-Islami demands indiscriminate accountability of corrupt elements in Pakistan. The anti-corruption campaign will be continued across Pakistan while he will commence long march to Islamabad if the government failed to make attention over the nationals’ demands for implementation on joint Term of References (ToRs) to probe Panama paper, the JI Ameer said.

Speaking  on the occasion, Sirajul Haq said that Pakistan is in the clutches of corrupt rulers since long but now the time for accountability is about to start. Poverty is the worst curse that was imposed on Pakistan and corruption is the only major cause of this poverty, Siraj said. The nation wants accountability of corrupt leaders in letter and spirit, he added.

He said that the JI’s drive against corruption provided a beacon of hope to masses against corruption. He said that people have welcomed the train march just because they want to get rid of corruption and they believe that the JI is capable enough to lead the struggle against corruption and will eliminate corruption.

The public meeting was also addressed by JI Khyber Patkhunkhwa (KP) Ameer, Mushtaq Ahmed Khan, MNA Sahibzada Tariqullah, District Nazim Chitral Haji Maghfirat Shah, former MNA Maulana Abdul Akbar Chitrali and Maulana Jamshed Ahmed.
