KP assembly condemns US drone attack in Balochistan

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly on Friday unanimously condemned US drone attack in Balochistan and termed it a conspiracy and attack on the integrity of the country.

The resolution presented by Fakhar-e-Azam of PPP also demanded of the US President Barak Obama to tender apology to Pakistani nation on this attack.

Through the second resolution moved jointly by Manawar Khan of JUI-F and Sardar Aurangzeb Nalotha of PML-N, the federal government was asked to make Ruet-e-Hilal Committee bound to take joint decision along with all Zonal Ruet-e-Hilal Committees to ensure Roza and celebration of Eids on the same day.

Similarly, Malik Riaz of JUI-F presented a resolution against restarting of the collection of tax from contractors in the province. The resolution termed the collection of tax as injustice with the province.

Through another resolution unanimously adopted by the house, the federal government was asked for not observing load shedding during the month of Ramazan. The fifth resolution was presented by Meraj Hamayun of QWP was also passed by the house unanimously.

Galiyat Ordinance and report of the Standing Committee on Health regarding appointments in health department were also tabled in the house.

Earlier, the house resumed proceedings with Deputy Speaker, Dr. Meher Taj Roghani in the chair.
