RAWALPINDI: Director General (DG) Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Lt Gen Asim Saleem Bajwa Tuesday said the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) would bring prosperity and greater security in the region.
“This (CPEC) will directly bring prosperity, but indirectly will also ensure greater security,” he said in a news conference in Beijing, China, said a message received here.
He said the CPEC was the flagship project of the ‘one-belt one-road’ vision of the Chinese leadership, adding that it would bring a huge dividend to Pakistan in particular and the entire region.
“As the concept goes, this will bring a uniformed development, socio economic benefits in the area to the people and prosperity to them,” the DG ISPR said.
