Religious parties launch joint drive against corruption: Liaqat Baloch

LAHORE: Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Liaqat Baloch has said all the religious parties announced to launch joint drive against electoral, economical and organised corruption.

He said the Panama issue will not be resolved through speeches. He demanded of the government to hold serious talks with the opposition to constitute joint Terms of References (ToRs) for inquiry commission to probe Panama papers. The JI central leader demanded indiscriminate and transparent investigation into the matter.

Liaqat Baloch said all the religious parties decided to hold mass contact drive for protecting Islamic laws and implementation of Nizam-e-Mustafa PBUH [Islamic governance system].

He said the Steering Committee will announce details about Nizam-e-Mustafa National Conference to be held in Peshawar.  Baloch demanded of the government to show attention over hunger strike by President Majlis-i-Wahdatul Muslimeen (MWM) Nasir Abbas Jafri as his demands were based on realities. He urged the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak to send delegation comprising ministers at MWM’s protest camp in Islamabad to immediately hold negotiations.
